Check your tickets, somebody in Victoria area has won $1 million

Someone in Victoria earned an easy $1 million in a recent lottery draw, but the ticket holder may not know it yet.
No one took home the $50-million Lotto Max prize from the Jan. 27 draw, but someone in the provincial capital has a ticket worth $1 million. It is not unusual for people to take several days to claim winning tickets, the B.C. Lottery Corporation said.
"For whatever reason, some people don't claim it right away," said Kim Steinbart, communications officer for BCLC.
"They may already know and are just thinking about what they're going to do or maybe they're on vacation."
Lotto Max starts with a main jackpot of $10 million and caps off at $50 million. If no one wins the maximum jackpot, additional Maxmillion prizes of $1 million are added as the pot grows.
The winning ticket bought in Victoria was one of two Maxmillion winners from the draw last Friday, BCLC said.
This week there are an estimated 10 $1-million prizes up for grabs, in addition to the $50-million jackpot.
The unclaimed winning ticket numbers are 2, 6, 9, 21, 34, 37 and 43.
