Saanich police seized 300 marijuana plants from a home in the 3200 block of Alder Street in a raid Tuesday.
Members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team raided the home about 1 p.m.
The whole basement of the residence was a "multi-stage" marijuana grow-op with growing equipment, police spokesman Sgt. Dean Jantzen said.
Tactical team members with guns drawn also conducted a high-risk traffic stop on Shelbourne Street and arrested two men linked to the residence.
The men face charges of drug production and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
There were no children living in the house and it is not clear if it is a rental property, Jantzen said.
Police did not disclose the names or ages of the two men.
