A sleek new bridge with clean lines and room for cars, cyclists and pedestrians will replace the dilapidated Craigflower Bridge with the six-month construction beginning June 1.
Saanich and View Royal councils have approved the final design concept for the Craigflower Bridge and upgrade of Admirals Road.
The structure will be straight, with steel arches and a slightly curved road alignment. There will be three vehicle lanes, one northbound and two southbound. Bike lanes and sidewalks will each be two metres wide.
The design can be viewed online here and at an open house set for Feb. 22 at the View Royal town hall from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
