Colwood house fire sends three to hospital
Feb 15 2012
Seven Colwood residents escaped a house fire early Monday morning with three people taken to hospital as a precaution.
Fire fighters arrived at 446 Sue Mar Place around 1:45 a.m. and found a blaze largely confined to the kitchen. It is believed to be a cooking fire, but investigators continue to determine the cause.
The parents and their two children, including a baby, got out of the home safely, as well as three tenants in the basement.
Damage to the home is expected to be about $30,000 to $40,000 with some smoke damage to the up stairs as well.
No one suffered serious injury.
