Victoria police describe suspect in jewelry-store robbery

Victoria police have released a description of the suspect in a robbery at the Olde 'N' Gold store at 706 Fort St.
Police said the man was holding what appeared to be a firearm during the incident just before 5 p.m. Monday. He threatened the clerk before grabbing rings and other jewelry and putting them into a dark backpack.
The suspect is from five-foot-10 to six-foot-two, with a medium build. He was wearing a dark puffy jacket with the hood up, and had his faced covered with a light-coloured balaclava.
When he ran from the store he headed across Fort into the courtyard of the Sussex Building, then along Broughton Street in the direction of Blanshard Street.
