Thieves hit Parksville-area surf shop
Feb 22 2012
Thieves struck at a Parksville-area surfing store Tuesday.
Oceanside RCMP were alerted after an alarm was tripped about 1 a.m. at the Wabi Sabi Surf Shop in the Coombs Market. They arrived to find the front door had been forced open.
It was estimated that merchandise worth $500 was stolen, including several pairs of Ryder sunglasses and Quicksilver belts. Police believe much more would have been taken if the alarm had not scared off the thieves.
Police are hopeful that evidence collected at the scene and public input will help them solve the case.
Anyone with information should call Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111.
