Winds delay work, bridge shuts for two hours today
Feb 26 2012
The Johnson Street Bridge will be closed to all car and pedestrian traffic between 6 and 8 this morning after heavy winds delayed work Saturday.
This closure will allow a crane barge to be moved from under the bridge. The barge, used to remove the bridge's rail span Friday, was scheduled to depart Saturday, but the move was rescheduled after winds topped 50 km/h. The navigation channel will reopen to marine traffic today at 8 a.m.
