B.C. justice data put online

B.C. Attorney General Shirley Bond is applauding the launch of a new opendata project that aims to highlight challenges with B.C.'s justice system.
The government announced Sunday that it has released data through the Justice B.C. website, along with interactive tools to break down five years of provincial, regional and local court statistics.
The project coincides with the province's independent review of the B.C. justice system.
"By making these data sets publicly available through a user-friendly, dashboard format, we continue to promote transparency and help create a broader understanding of the challenges," Bond said.
"It's also an opportunity for the public and stakeholders to use and analyze the data in order to come up with their own ideas for reform."
The dashboard is located at www.JusticeBC.ca.
