Delta police on the Lower Mainland have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with a bank robbery in downtown Victoria on Saturday afternoon.
A man walked into the TD Bank on Douglas Street around 2:15 p.m. and demanded money. Victoria police do not believe he used a weapon, but the man made off with a small, undisclosed amount of money.
The man is believed to have then caught a ferry to the mainland. The suspect was arrested by Delta police later that same day, according to Victoria police.
The suspect faces a charge of robbery, but as of Sunday no charge had been sworn against him.
