One complaint for the books: An annoying set of wind chimes prompts a call to police.
A Victoria-area resident reported a neighbour's wind chimes were too loud and called in a complaint on Thursday.
On the Victoria police blog, officers report that last weeks' stormy weather of winds of up to 75 km/h were giving the wind chime a work out.
The complainant reported that the two-foot long set of chimes was hung directly adjacent to a bedroom window for maximum annoyance — but police said the noise was't loud enough to warrant a bylaw infraction.
Police also discovered the wind-chime incident was likely related to a previous complaint a few months ago concerning a tree that was cut down on the property line.
All in a day's work.
