Saanich man in hospital in serious condition from multiple stab wounds

A 58-year-old Saanich man was bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds when he ran to his neighbour’s home to call for help late Friday night.
Police are releasing few details about the incident, but they arrested a 46-year-old man at the scene.
Paramedics arrived at the home in the 600 block of Gorge Road just after 11 p.m. The victim remains in serious, but stable condition at Victoria General Hospital.
Saanich Police say the two men are known to one another, but will not release any information as to why the incident may have occurred or what type of weapon was used until their investigation is complete.
The suspect will have a bail hearing later in the day Saturday.
