Outreach worker's trial set for September

A former outreach worker who worked with vulnerable members of the street community will be tried by judge and jury in B.C. Supreme Court in September.
Cameron Delacroix, 62, of Victoria, is accused of using his authority to provide drugs in exchange for sex with a 17-year-old girl.
Delacroix is charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation, assault, mischief, sexual touching of a young person, obtaining sexual services of someone under 18 and breach of undertaking in relation to incidents dating to August 2009.
Delacroix was employed by the Umbrella Society and AIDS Vancouver Island.
Jury selection has been scheduled for Sept. 10.
