Suspect in Victoria stabbing described

A 38-year-old Victoria man stabbed in the abdomen early Sunday was interviewed post-surgery by Victoria police in hospital Monday.
Police said the man suffered a several-inch-deep stab wound to his abdomen.
He was attacked near the intersection of Broad and View streets around 3 a.m., police said. The victim then hailed a cab on View Street and was rushed to hospital. He required immediate surgery.
Police describe the suspect as a white man who was riding a white BMX bike. He was wearing a white baseball hat with a straight brim, a dark jacket, dark shirt and dark jeans, police said Monday.
