Victoria police seized drugs with a street value of $70,000 and made four arrests after a three-month undercover investigation.
Dozens of officers - including members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, Victoria and Saanich police - raided three homes in the 500 block of Dallas Road, the 800 block of Denford Crescent and Burnside Road West, near Harriet Road, last Thursday.
The arrests all took place in the first apartment unit that was raided, on Dallas Road, said Victoria police spokesman Const. Mike Russell. That was also where most of the drugs were found. Police seized heroin, crack, cocaine, methamphetamine and ketamine, and $30,000 in cash.
Russell did not have details on how the drug operation was being carried out, but described the four as mid-level dealers.
Undercover officers with the strike force bought drugs from the individuals during the investigation, he said.
Three men, aged 30, 27 and 22, and a 24-year-old woman face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The 30-year-old was held in custody because of a previous criminal record, Russell said. The other three, who were not named, were released on a promise to appear in court.
