Hearing in robbery case put over to end of month

The 18-year-old Saanich man charged with robbery in connection with a purse-snatching will appear in court on June 29.
Gordon James Hunter, dressed in a grey T-shirt, appeared briefly in court on Thursday morning while his mother sat in the public gallery.
The bail hearing was put over because his defence lawyer, Brad Hickford, hadn't received all the disclosure from Crown prosecutors.
On Saturday afternoon, a man pushed an 88 year old woman to the ground and and stole her purse in downtown Victoria. The senior had hundreds of dollars in cash in her purse, which has since been recovered, Victoria police said.
Hunter was arrested Sunday after police circulated surveillance video from the Bay Centre.
