Victoria police have shut down a dial-a-dope operation and seized $52,000 worth of drugs from a Fort Street apartment.
The raid happened June 8, with tactical members from the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team swarming two apartment units in the 1400 block of Fort Street.
The investigation into the suspected drug-dealing ring was sparked by complaints from residents.
During a search of the apartments and a vehicle, police seized 107 grams of heroin, 140 grams of soft cocaine and 160 grams of hard cocaine, most of which was packaged and ready to sell on the street, said Victoria police spokesman Const. Mike Russell.
Police arrested a 20-year-old Victoria man and a 25-year-old Vancouver man. Both are facing charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The men were released and will be summonsed to court at a later date. Their names were not released.
