Tips from public leads to raid on Langford home

Tips from the public prompted West Shore RCMP to raid a Langford home on Wednesday night.
Officers searched the Weaver Place home and seized an ounce of cocaine, a quarter pound of marijuana and cash, said Staff Sgt.
A 24-year-old man, the resident of the home, and a 29-year-old woman were arrested and face charges of drug trafficking. Both were released from custody pending a court appearance in Western Communities Court on Sept. 20. Their names were not released as charges had not been sworn.
The raid came after an anonymous tip that came in about a month ago, Willis said. Street crime officers gathered enough evidence over the month to apply for a search warrant.
Willis said the tip was key in the operation. "You never know which piece of the puzzle is the key piece to further an investigation," he said in a statement.
