A man in his 50s was taken by air ambulance to Victoria General Hospital on Friday after he fell more than two metres off a walkway at Cowichan Bay.
The man tumbled off the walkway at the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre about 1: 30 p.m. and landed on the rocks below, said Cam Ferguson, deputy chief of Cowichan Bay Volunteer Fire Department.
He was conscious but complaining of numbness in his extremities when taken to the helicopter, said Ferguson.
It's not clear how the man came to tumble off the walkway and his condition is not known.
