Woman bitten by police dog

Victoria police are investigating after a woman was bitten by a police dog involved in an early-morning search for suspects in a break and enter.
The woman, 46, was not involved in the crime, which took place about 1 a.m. Wednesday at Rosie's Cold Beer and Wine store at the Comfort Inn on Blanshard Street.
The woman was in some nearby bushes when she was bitten in the arm by the dog, which was leashed and with a handler.
Officers looked after the woman until she was transported to hospital, where she was treated and released.
The police department expressed its regrets for the woman's injury.
Detectives and forensics officers were called to look into the matter, and the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner was notified.
