Six companies have applied to build the new Oak Bay High School, the Greater Victoria school district said Tuesday.
A project team will pick a short list of up to three companies and ask them to submit comprehensive proposals this fall, the district said.
The six B.C.-based companies are: Bouygues Building Canada Inc.; Farmer Construction Ltd.; Heatherbrae Builders Co. Ltd.; Lark Projects Ltd.; Wales McLelland Construction Company (1988) Ltd.; and Yellowridge Design Build Ltd.
The district expects to select a proposal in spring 2013 and begin construction in the summer.
