Car crash into power pole blacks out Saanich homes Saturday morning

A vehicle collision with an electrical pole on the Pat Bay Highway knocked out power to more than 1,200 B.C. Hydro customers early Saturday morning.
A northbound vehicle slammed into and broke the pole near Sayward Avenue around 5 a.m. Saanich police report there were no injuries and no criminal charges are pending.
B.C. Hydro had power restored by just before 9 a.m.
