Oct 25 2012
Police seized more than two kilograms of marijuana last week after noticing a strong smell coming from a vehicle at a road block.
The road block was set up by the capital region's Integrated Road Safety Unit. About 2.7 kilograms of the drug was found in the vehicle, police said.
The driver's vehicle, a 2010 Ford Edge police said was valued at $30,000, was also seized. Police will make an application to the courts that the vehicle be forfeited to the Crown as proceeds of crime.
A 25-year-old Victoria woman was arrested. She faces charges of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
