West Shore police are looking for a man who grabbed a 13-year-old girl by the wrist Monday night.
The teen escaped unharmed and called police, said West Shore RCMP Cpl. Scott Braes.
The girl said she was walking along Wishart Road in Colwood between 5 and 5: 30 p.m. Monday when a stranger, between 17 and 25, grabbed her by the wrist.
"There's no evidence that he was trying to harm the female," Braes said.
West Shore RCMP would like to speak to the man, who was wearing a black hoodie, white running shoes and black cargo pants.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Police are reminding the public to be cautious when walking alone at night and to try to stay on busier, well-lit roads.
