$40,000 of cocaine seized in Courtenay

Comox Valley RCMP have seized $40,000 worth of cocaine in recent weeks.
On Oct. 29, 10 ounces of cocaine was seized during a traffic stop. Police said a 50-year-old Courtenay man faces possible charges of trafficking cocaine.
In a separate incident, nine ounces and $29,000 cash were found when police carried out a search warrant at a Courtenay home. Charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking have been laid against 53-year-old Phuoc Huu Diep and 36-year-old Thi Yen Lai, both of Courtenay.
