Harbour authority adding docks
Nov 27 2012
The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority is planning to install a new dock at Odgen Point and another near Fisherman's Wharf.
The Ogden Point dock would be a multi-use float at Pier B. It would be used for a planned water shuttle for cruise ship passengers to the Inner Harbour, as well as shore-based excursions and other tour operators. It will include an access gate, concrete float, steel piles and aluminum ramp, a request for proposals states. The other dock, at Raymur Point, will be used by the Canadian Border Services Authority.
The secure facility will replace the existing Canada Customs dock near Broughton Street Wharf in the Inner Harbour. The request for proposals to design, build and install the docks closes Dec. 7.
