United Way halfway to 2011 campaign goal
Nov 22 2011
The 2011 United Way campaign has reached the halfway point of its $6.3-million goal.
Campaign chairman Greg Conner, vice-president of human resources for HP Advanced Solutions, announced Monday that donations had topped $3,150,000. He said raising money for the campaign "is truly a team effort," and it is important to keep the momentum going.
The United Way of Greater Victoria has raised more than $124 million since it came into being 74 years ago. Last year, it gave funds to 69 community partners that delivered 132 programs and services.
