Victoria police arrested two people after a Saturday night armed robbery of a convenience store.
A 19-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, both from Victoria, were arrested Sunday evening at an apartment in the 2500 block of Quadra Street.
A woman with what appeared to be two hand guns entered the Mac's Convenience store at 2635 Quadra Street around 11:30 p.m. Saturday and demanded money, cigarettes and lottery tickets from the clerk.
The woman fled the store and apparently caught a cab with her male accomplice back to a residence on Quadra Street. Police later recovered two replica guns.
Police said they would recommend charges of robbery and breach of probation. The woman also might face charges of disguise with intent and public mischief. The two were to have a bail hearing Monday.
