Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Langford

Dec 15 2011

West Shore RCMP were investigating a possible case of impaired driving Wednesday after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Westshore Town Centre in Langford.

The accident happened about 8:45 p.m. on Jacklin Road. The pedestrian was taken to Victoria General Hospital with a possible leg injury, said Cpl. Scott Braes.

"Alcohol definitely appears to be a factor," said Braes. The male driver, the sole occupant in the vehicle, was being questioned at the West Shore RCMP detachment.
